Overview
DIG Group is a well-established company operating within the engineering, workshop, and industrial support sector. The company is currently expanding its operations and is seeking a highly experienced Stores Manager as well as two Junior Stores Assistants to support daily stores and inventory functions.
These roles are critical to ensuring efficient stock control, accurate booking in and out of parts, and smooth workflow between the workshop and stores departments. The positions offer hands-on experience, job stability, and the opportunity to grow within a structured and professional work environment in Witbank (Emalahleni).
Key Responsibilities
Stores Manager
- Oversee daily stores operations and inventory management
- Manage booking in and out of parts, tools, and consumables
- Maintain accurate stock records using warehouse management systems
- Ensure optimal stock levels and prevent shortages or overstocking
- Coordinate with workshop and procurement teams
- Implement stores control procedures and reporting
- Supervise and support junior stores staff
Junior Stores Assistants (2 Positions)
- Assist with receiving, issuing, and storing parts and consumables
- Support stock counts and inventory accuracy
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the stores area
- Assist workshop staff with parts requests
- Follow company procedures for stores and warehouse operations
Requirements
Essential – Stores Manager
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in stores or warehouse management
- Proven experience booking parts and consumables in and out
- Strong understanding of inventory control systems
- Experience with Streamline WMS (advantageous)
- Own reliable transport
- Available to start immediately
Essential – Junior Stores Assistants
- Minimum 2 years’ workshop and stores experience
- Reside in or near Witbank (Emalahleni)
- Own reliable transport
- Ability to work in a hands-on industrial environment
General Requirements
