This role is based in Roodepoort and focuses on ensuring full compliance with occupational health, safety, and environmental (SHE) regulations across complex infrastructure projects, including high-voltage transmission and substations.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement SHE (Safety, Health & Environmental) plans and risk control strategies
- Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and toolbox talks
- Manage incident reporting, investigations, and corrective actions
- Monitor contractor compliance with construction safety regulations and procedures
- Oversee safety practices during high-voltage (HV), lifting, and civil engineering activities
- Ensure adherence to occupational health and safety laws in South Africa
Requirements
Essential:
- SACPCMP registration (mandatory)
- Relevant qualification in Health & Safety Management or Occupational Safety
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in HV or substation projects
- Strong knowledge of construction safety standards and compliance
- Proven experience in site safety supervision
Preferred:
- Excellent risk assessment and auditing skills
- Strong incident investigation capabilities
- Effective communication and reporting skills
- Ability to enforce safety policies and procedures confidently
