Overview:
Knittex Shade Net is hiring a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team at our Mkhuhlu site near Hazyview. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on professional to work in a dynamic environment, supporting critical manufacturing operations.
The successful candidate will handle preventive maintenance, repairs, and machine setups, ensuring equipment and facilities remain in optimal working condition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general maintenance and repair of machinery and facilities.
- Set up and calibrate shade netting machines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues to minimize downtime.
- Ensure all equipment is in excellent operational condition through scheduled preventive maintenance.
- Understand and implement different knitting stitches and styles.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in industrial maintenance, mechanical repair, or manufacturing equipment maintenance.
- Strong hands-on technical skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Knowledge of knitting or textile machinery is an advantage.
- Good problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
