Overview:
Hestony Transport (Pty) Ltd, a leader in the logistics and transport industry in South Africa, is actively hiring a Working Foreman for our Johannesburg-based workshop. This role is ideal for experienced professionals in heavy commercial vehicle maintenance who are looking to lead a technical team and drive operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise a technical workshop team to implement a vehicle maintenance strategy.
- Oversee and ensure that quality maintenance and technical standards are achieved and sustained.
- Maintain high productivity and workshop efficiency through effective management.
- Conduct informal disciplinary actions to maintain team discipline.
- Implement and monitor occupational risk management, ensuring employee behavior and compliance.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date service and maintenance records.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a heavy commercial vehicles workshop environment.
- At least 3 years of experience at a supervisory level in a similar setting.
- Grade 12 qualification (Matric certificate required).
- Trade Tested Diesel Mechanic certification is beneficial and highly advantageous.
