Overview:
Gert Sibande TVET College, in collaboration with the National Skills Fund (NSF), invites unemployed South African youth aged 18–35 to apply for the 2025 Apprenticeship and Learnership Programme. This 3-year initiative is designed to provide hands-on training in high-demand engineering and artisan trades, empowering young people with the skills needed for long-term employment and economic participation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in structured practical training and classroom-based learning.
- Perform trade-specific duties under the supervision of qualified artisans.
- Maintain safety and quality standards during all practical work.
- Complete required assessments and progress through theoretical modules.
- Attend all required sessions and contribute positively to the learning environment.
Available Apprenticeships:
- Bricklayer
- Carpenter
- Electrician
- Plumber
Available Learnerships:
- BCC Level 3 Bricklaying
- BCC Level 3 Carpentry
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications for Apprenticeship:
- N2 Certificate with related trade theory OR
- NCV Level 4 with related trade theory
Minimum Qualifications for Learnership:
- Grade 12 / Matric
- CHB Level 2 in the relevant field
Additional Information:
- Applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 35.
- Must be currently unemployed.
- Only uncertified copies of documents should be submitted.
