The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring exceptional guest experiences, managing lodge staff, overseeing hospitality operations, and maintaining high operational standards across all departments. Working within the wildlife and tourism industry, the Game Lodge General Manager will play a key role in driving operational excellence, improving guest satisfaction, and ensuring the lodge operates efficiently and profitably. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the game lodge and safari camp
- Lead and supervise hospitality, housekeeping, maintenance, and kitchen teams
- Ensure exceptional guest service and customer satisfaction at all times
- Oversee lodge budgets, stock control, and operational expenses
- Coordinate staff scheduling, training, and performance management
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and lodge presentation
- Handle guest bookings, lodge administration, and operational reporting
- Ensure compliance with hospitality industry regulations and company standards
- Monitor lodge maintenance and coordinate repairs when required
- Support business growth through excellent hospitality management practices
Requirements
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience working in a Game Lodge General Manager role
- Strong background in safari lodge or hospitality management
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Exceptional communication and guest relations abilities
- Knowledge of lodge operations, tourism, and hospitality services
- Ability to work in a remote live-in environment
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Professional and well-organized approach to management
Preferred Requirements
- Qualification in Hospitality Management, Tourism, or a related field
