Overview:
The Rand Water Institute is seeking a dedicated Administration Assistant to support internal Institute Support Services and coordinate activities across the organisation. This role plays a vital part in programme coordination, stakeholder communication, and maintaining operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and coordinate activities between the Institute Support Services team, internal departments, and external stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain key relationships with contributors to Institute programmes.
- Schedule internal and external meetings, take minutes, and distribute them promptly.
- Manage communication channels across teams and third-party contributors.
- Prepare professional reports, presentations, and documentation.
- Maintain and update the operational risk register and contract register.
- Support all matters related to intellectual property within the Institute.
Requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric) qualification.
- Post-matric qualification in Administration or related field preferred.
- 2–4 years of general office administration experience.
- Strong computer literacy, especially in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong planning, organisational, and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to liaise with senior stakeholders and work effectively under pressure.
- Good telephone etiquette, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
