Overview:
Sasol, in collaboration with The Education Support Forum (TEDSF) and the Jobs Fund, invites applications for a 4-week Solar PV (Photovoltaic) Training Programme. This initiative is aimed at empowering South African youth and entrepreneurs with the technical skills and knowledge to succeed in the rapidly growing renewable energy sector, particularly in solar energy.
Key Responsibilities:
While this is a training opportunity (not a job role), participants will:
- Engage in structured training covering the solar PV value chain.
- Participate in both theoretical and practical learning modules.
- Develop skills required for employment and entrepreneurship in green energy.
- Apply learned techniques to potential real-world solar energy applications.
Requirements:
- Aged between 18 and 35 years old.
- Must reside in the uMhlathuze Local Municipality.
- Interested in green energy careers, especially solar PV systems.
- Must be committed to a full-time 4-week training programme.
- Open to current job seekers or existing business owners wanting to enhance green energy skills.
- Minimum educational qualification: NCV Level 4 Engineering Studies or N3–N6 Engineering Studies.
