Overview:
Trollope Mining Services invites young, motivated South Africans to apply for its 2026 Apprenticeship Program in Diesel Mechanics (Heavy Equipment). This is a 36-month accredited training program that offers unemployed learners (18.2) a pathway to become qualified Heavy Equipment Mechanics under QCTO standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete theoretical and practical training in:
- N1–N3 Mathematics, Science, Engineers Drawing & Design, Diesel Trade Theory
- Participate in hands-on mechanical work involving heavy mining equipment
- Prepare for and complete the Trade Test
- Follow safety and technical protocols on-site
- Maintain a high standard of teamwork and communication
Requirements:
- Grade 10–12 with technical subjects and relevant N1–N3 qualifications:
- Mathematics, Science, Diesel Trade Theory, Engineers Drawing and Design
- Valid South African driver’s license (attach proof)
- South African ID (attach proof)
- Age between 19–25 years
- Must be medically fit
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good time management and attention to detail
- Able to work under pressure and in a team environment
