Assistant Accountant – Recruiting Agent

Overview:
A permanent position is available for a highly organized and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant in Meyerton. Key Responsibilities:

• Perform day-to-day bookkeeping using QuickBooks and other accounting software
• Prepare accurate financial reports and statements
• Handle VAT submissions and assist in monthly and year-end closing processes
• Reconcile bank statements and manage payroll entries
• Maintain balance sheets, track stock records, and manage fixed assets
• Calculate depreciation and ensure compliance with financial regulations
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities

Requirements:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (essential)
• Basic understanding of bookkeeping and financial principles
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and accounting platforms (e.g., QuickBooks)
• High attention to detail and strong numerical skills
• Ability to manage sensitive financial information with discretion
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• Experience with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) software is advantageous
