Overview:
Centurion is seeking a skilled and proactive Caretaker & Handyman to join our team in Gauteng. This position is perfect for someone who is hands-on, resourceful, and capable of handling a wide range of maintenance tasks including plumbing, minor repairs, and general domestic work. If you have strong handyman skills and enjoy working independently while managing day-to-day property maintenance, we’d love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks, including basic plumbing, electrical fixes, and domestic duties
- Oversee subcontractors and liaise with tenants to resolve issues promptly
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure property safety and upkeep
- Manage supplies and work-related expenses efficiently
- Use technology and basic computer tools for reporting and task management
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and building standards
Requirements:
- Qualified plumber (advantageous but not mandatory)
- Strong leadership and task management skills
- Confident and assertive when dealing with tenants and service providers
- Proficient in problem-solving and decision-making
- Detail-oriented and committed to delivering high-quality workmanship
- Basic knowledge of building compliance and safety protocols
- Comfortable with using tech tools and reporting systems
